Privacy & Confidentiality
Los Angeles comes with its own set of concerns and challenges for those in the public eye. Guide Therapy's philosophy is that it is essential to support the comfort of our clients by taking the additional measures necessary to protect and maintain privacy beyond just the legal, ethical and professional requirements of the profession.

Unless formally authorized, I will not acknowledge that you are a client of mine and will not speak to or disclose any information to your significant other, partner, family, or friends.

All phone and email communication will be exclusively managed by me.

The door for Guide Therapy Services does not display a name or anything else other than the suite number, there is no indication that it is a psychotherapy office.

A diagnosis won’t be in your psychotherapy chart, unless we have authorized as such to acquire insurance reimbursement.

It is important to note that under certain circumstances I am legally bound to breach confidentiality.
Limits to Confidentiality

If a client discloses a plan or threat that indicates intentions to self-harm or to harm another person.

Suspicion of child abuse, elder abuse, or dependent adult abuse.

When a court order has been placed. I will always assert privilege on behalf of my clients and will do my best to advocate for such orders to be cancelled.

In a medical emergency, such as the client requiring immediate medical attention.

Insurance companies and other third-party payers are given information that they request regarding services rendered to the clients who have elected to utilize “Superbills” for reimbursement from their insurance companies/third-party payers. The type of information that may be requested includes date and times of service, diagnosis, treatment plan, case notes, etc.
Rate & Insurance
Payment: I accept cash, check, debit or credit cards, HSA or FSA cards, and Bitcoin.

Rate: Fees are determined using a sliding scale based on financial need. Reduced fee services are available on a limited basis.

Insurance: Clients who choose to utilize their 'out-of-network' benefits will be provided with a Superbill to submit to their health insurance company for reimbursement.
